Is the world coming to an end slowly but surely?

I'm a strong believer in Jesus Christ. He's my one and only, but is it true that he is creating these epidemics as a promise in the bible. He said to Eve her offspring will have a hard time. He told us so from the jump start that things wouldn't be easy for anyone. This new strain of an infection is coming about and it's not responding to anti biotics. I'm scared...reurance? The truth? Thoughts? Thanks...
